Track Edition
Entry Fee: £32.00 - £55.00
The Ultra Loop Track Edition offers a running challenge of either 6 or 12 hours where you will run loops of the 400m track as many times as you can. No matter how far you manage to run, you receive a finishing time and medal.
The event takes place next summer at Longford Park Stadium in Manchester, UK, a running track wealthy in history having been an active part of the athletics community since 1969.
This event is a great opportunity to aim for a new personal best across distance and time.
Enter solo or as a team of up to 6 to share the time.
Event Information
Signing Up
Once you enter via Let's Do This, you will receive a confirmation email. Upon entry, you will be asked to choose a distance, please be aware this is just a guide for us, and your distance choice on entry does not limit your distance choice on the day. Leading up to the race you will then receive more information, guidance and support regarding the event.
Signing up as a team means that you are signing up to share the overall distance with your team members in a relay format, meaning you run at different times. You will be given a timing item to pass between runners as you take it in turns to run your chosen distance.
If you are between the ages of 12 - 15 then your parent or guardian must contact us in order to organise your place and your parent or guardian must attend the event with you. We do not allow under 12's to participate in any of our current events. Please read further in our Runners Agreement.
We have a Facebook group for all participants that you will have access to where you can ask questions about the event and also meet the community of people taking part. We also have a Strava group we would love for you to join.
Registration & Times
Event registration will begin onsite at 7.00am, where you will collect your race number, your chip timing ankle strap and have some time to warm up and get familiar with the event layout. The event briefing will then take place at 7.45am before all runners will toe the line ready to start at 8.00am.
How it Works
You will be provided with a timing chip that will track how many laps you run and the time of each lap. During your 6 or 12 hour challenge, you are welcome to take breaks, or just power on through. You can finish your run before the end of your chosen time and still receive your results and a medal, however of course, we encourage to keep moving forward to reach your goal.
6 hour event (8am) - 8am - 2pm
6 hour event (2pm) - 2pm - 8pm
12 hour event - 8am - 8pm
Facilities
The start/finish line will also act as the singular aid station. This is where participant's crew can set up individual aid stations if preferred. Our aid station will provide water, fruit and vegan snacks as well as hydration products from our partner LMNT.
If you would like to bring your own food and drink and you won't have someone with you to look after it, there will be an area where you can store your fuel but please make sure it is very clearly labelled.
With sustainability in mind, we are operating on a bring your own bottle basis. We will have plenty of water for you to fill up your bottles, but we will not be providing cups at the aid station.
There are onsite toilets and changing rooms.
